Friends Program
The Friends of the Eighth Maine are individuals, families, organizations and businesses who make tax deductible donations to help support the mission of the Eighth Maine Regiment Memorial Association, Inc., a fully qualified non-profit (501.C.3) corporation.
"Our mission is to perpetuate the memory and preserve the history of the Eighth Maine Volunteer Regiment including the real and personal property of the Association."
Maintaining a large Victorian era, wooden structure on the seashore is an immense task that requires the efforts of many volunteers, skilled craftsmen and the generosity of the public who enjoy visiting our Memorial for tours and overnight stays, as well as education and entertainment events and the support of local businesses and community organizations.
Donations are used to fund capital improvements like the foundation work that we have underway this year; research on the Eighth Maine Regiment and its members that we present in our Drummer Newsletter, on tours and on our website; the acquisition and preservation of our memorabilia and historical archives; and raising additional funds for all of our many needs.
All donations are fully tax deductible.
Individual Membership $20.00 per year
Family Membership: $40.00 per year
Century Club Donation: $100.00 per year
Small Business Donation: $125.00 per year
Corporate Donation: $250.00 per year
